"Right." Hartley had to smile at that, rolling his eyes. No, he didn't care about someone stealing a silver spoon. He was all for that, not as if they needed more of those. He looked at the spoon as it landed on his desk, because it was easier to focus on than gorgeous guy. His cheeks were burning now when Axel complimented his room and he realised that he was actually looking around. Yeah, he was a nerd. he knew that, no reason to tell him.
Instead there was a beauty comment. And, worse, pulling a hell of a guy? Great. Hartley cleared his throat and knew he was blushing like crazy. "I've no interest in pulling anyone. I just like science."
I just like science. Damn, he wanted to punch himself for that.
"You like science?" Oh God, this guy was adorable. Axel couldn't help but laugh but it wasn't a cruel laugh, there was even a smile after it. "I'm not the best at science but I do like that experiment you can do when you put mentos in coke and they blow up." Yes, that was the degree of his science skills. Making things explode.
Axel moved into the room a little and inspected some of the awards since he hadn't been kicked out yet, looking them over only by one before turning to Hartley with a playful look. Was he blushing? That was so fun. "If you ever do want to pull, you'll have no problem. Trust me, handsome."
And with that, he stood a step closer to the other boy.
"...thanks. I've no interest, but thanks." Did he ever have interest. Hartley couldn't take his eyes off Axel, so he finally just decided to stop acting as if he'd never talked to someone before and just smile at him. He could pretend that this was just another guy from his school. Not that any of the guys in his school, looked like that. Or moved like that. Luckily.
"I like to excel at everything I do. So far, I have." So he couldn't get rid of the blush, but at least he could act as if he had confidence. "...I don't usually have people in my room. It's not very interesting."
"I don't know, it's pretty interesting. I've never had a bedroom. Not like this anyway." He went from community living to the streets to sometimes crashing on a mattress in someone else's place but no, never a bedroom and never full of things he owned. By nature, Axel didn't own much and everything he owned could always fit into a backpack.
"So you've got no interest in anyone?" Axel tilted his head to the side, looked Hartley up and down and then smiled to himself. "Really? Shame. Cause, see, if you had some interest then I might have made a move." With a reluctant sigh, he shrugged his shoulders in a very dramatic way. What? This was funny, he couldn't help it.
"It's mostly books." Hartley smiled self-derisively as he added, "And science." That said he leaned back against the bedpost again and looked at Axel, eyes widening when the implications of his words hit. He had to stop being such a scared, clearly inexperienced idiot. No time to think about whether he should, he had to take a chance while he could. He wasn't some blushing idiot, he could be assertive.
So he reached forward to grab Axel by the jacket and then he crushed their lips together, wishing he had any experience with kissing at all, any. Instead he could only hope for the best while turning him around and pushing Axel back against the bedpost instead, hands going for his hips. At least he could work of his fantasies.
"Oooh, I like this." Axel loved assertive types, he loved baiting men into making a move and here he was, a pretty rich boy making out with him. Sexy. He had many very vivid ideas in his head of what he wanted to do with this rich kid, he wanted to hold him down and fuck him, wanted to be fucked by him, wanted so many things they probably didn't have time for and Hartley probably wasn't ready for.
No lube, probably no condoms and he doubted they'd get beyond kissing but hey, he had fantasy fodder for tonight and that was plenty to kiss him going. He deepened their kiss and reached up, fingers running through Hartley's hair. So soft.
It wasn't until a good time into kissing, when Hartley was slowly hoping that maybe he wasn't the worst ever at this, that he realised that he hadn't even introduced himself. That didn't quite seem right, so he pulled away, just enough to catch gorgeous guy's eyes. "I'm Hartley."
He smiled, very politely. "Nice to meet you." That it turned into a very cheeky grin shortly after that statement showed that he wasn't quite oblivious to the humour of the situation. "How do you do."
"Eh? Oh. Cool. Hey Hartley, I'm Walber." There was a very sarcastic tone to what he said as he presented his name tag, very much spelt wrong, giving Hartley a look before he stole another kiss, lingering long enough to bite his lower lip playfully. "Because some jackass can't spell Walker."
It was his surname, sure, but he wasn't really used to giving away first names and given he just cased this place up, it seemed unwise to tell their kid his name in full. Hell, he lied on the job application and his fake ID, saying he was Alex instead of Axel. All the same letters, just moved around. "It's a pleasure indeed to meet you."
"Walker?" Seemed like it was his surname or a fake name, but on the one hand it wasn't as if he owed him his real name and on the other, he was named Hartley, so what room did he have to talk? Hartley let his fingers train the waistline of Axel's pants, until his palm finally brushed against the perfection that was his ass. "May I just say that you've the hottest ass I've ever seen, including in my fantasies?"
That was the kind of small talk he could get used to, especially as he intercepted it with yet another kiss. He liked how it felt when Axel bit his lip, liked it a lot, so he tried to do the same, ever so careful about it. "Thank you."
"I've been told, it's very appreciated. Why do you think I wore my tight trousers tonight? It's a party, I got to show it off. I was hoping I'd reel someone in." He was expecting an old pervert who was maybe a closet case he could blackmail into being his sugar daddy and less the hot heir to the Rathaway fortune but hey, results were results. Even if he got no money out of this, he was definitely pulling high tier here.
Axel paused the kiss and frowned at Hartley, unsure what on Earth he was talking about. "... Why are you thanking me? Cause the ass came from God, I know it's a gift for all but I can't take credit." Rolling his eyes, he moved down to Hartley's neck and began to kiss it gently, debating if he wanted to leave a hickey there or not. Marking a rich boy. Sounded fun.
It wasn't so nice, the thought of being reeled in. For him this was pretty magical, definitely unexpected, he supposed even romantic. Obviously he had known that it wasn't actually the case, but it wasn't like the reminder was appreciated. He smiled anyway, because whatever. There was still the world's most gorgeous guy with the hottest ass, interested in kissing him, so he could live with this. Maybe later when he was alone and this would just be a fantasy again, he'd allow himself some edits to the story. Make it more like he wanted it to be.
"Thank you for wanting to kiss me. I guess, thank you for having a hot ass and wanting to kiss me." He was even more grateful over the neck kissing, because apparently that was just the most intense thing ever, eliciting a moan from him as he let his head fall back.
"You're welcome." Axel laughed playfully and decided this kid definitely needed a reminder of this, clearly he didn't get many experiences like it. He kissed down low enough so he was nearly at the collar bone and started to suck, marking him so he could hide it if he needed to but there was no way in hell he could dismiss the whole thing as some kind of dream or run away fantasy. When he was done, he licked the mark lovingly and pulled back, a smile on his face.
"Of course I want to kiss you. Have you seen you?" He reached up and loosened Hartley's tie for him so he could better see the mark he made. "Just a little reminder in case you forget me after this."
"Thank you for that too." Hartley smiled and he felt himself blushing again, so he did his best to pretend he wasn't and just kept kissing Axel for a while longer. Kept kissing him and pressing himself against him and generally behaving less than proper while also simply forgetting about how he should really be getting back to the party.
He didn't remember that until it was too late. Things happened quickly. One moment there was just his mother saying his name as she opened the door, then there was yelling. Hartley's eyes were wide and he shoved Axel away, just imagining what could happen to him. "Get out. Get out, Walker, please, there will be so much trouble."
Trouble he had to face, but at least they wouldn't be able to lock Axel up when he wasn't there. Hartley tried to calm his mother down, but it seemed fairly futile. His father joined and his anger was enough to scare him. Hartley could only hope that Axel was already gone.
It escalated from there. But Hartley could never have predicted just how much it would escalate.
