"...you're too cute. That's how you get away with shit." Hartley leaned in and kissed Cisco's cheek, smiling against it now. So much had changed, but so much had also improved. He no longer felt the crushing loneliness inside him. Not as bitter, not broken. No wonder he smiled so much, when he was lucky enough to be with someone who loved his smile more than anything. And his eyes, for that matter. "In case you're wondering, it's your lips, your eyes, your hair and your body. All of it. Your skin too. I can't even rank it."
He might be a bit too into him. Luckily he had a sketch to focus on. "Oh, that looks nice. You do have an eye for this. I still need to figure out how exactly to do this. Can't run like Barry can."
"Really? You're so good to me, all this flattery will literally get you everywhere." Hey, he wasn't holding back, he had twenty five lonely years of no sex and he had his first orgasm eight months ago so it wasn't going to be downhill from there, he wanted more and more and all of them with Hartley. He reached for his food bag and pulled out a handful of fries as Hartley studied his design.
"Train up with stamina. And no, that isn't a pick up line. Arrow isn't fast either so you just have to be on your feet and good at moving."
"I know I have to train up, but I don't know how Arrow moves so fast. I'm not exactly a ninja. Just yet." Hartley grinned and stole a fry, then raised his eyebrows as he looked at Cisco. "Although I have discovered that I can do this."
That said he hummed until he found the right tune and he watched Cisco, knowing that even though he'd know he was here, he should suddenly not be able to detect him. It was a pretty neat trick, as far as potential ninjahood was concerned.
"Maybe ask him? You could. I mean I bet I could track him, Barry knows him, we could work something else." What? That made total sense. He needed training and he needed someone to help him so that seemed like the best idea. Either that or Barry helped and odds are, Barry would probably make it worse. Barry tried but he was not the best example of a hero.
Cisco watched as Hartley hummed curious and then suddenly -- wait, what? "Dude. That is mad freaky!"
"I guess I could try hitting up Starling City. Maybe I can train with Black Canary. You like her, don't you?" Hartley had no idea what he was doing, but all things considered maybe a stint in Starling City wouldn't be so bad. Although not seeing Cisco for a while would suck, but it would be worth it. Barry could always get him if something went down. Something worth considering.
He stopped humming and nodded, leaning back on the couch. "I know. My powers are versatile, you've no idea."
"I love her. Get me an autograph, I follow all her news stories. Oh man and take pictures!" Yes, he was getting over-excited but he couldn't help it. He loved that stuff. He flailed with Barry over that stuff. "We should spend some time apart, won't be the end of the world and you can come back all fully trained and badass. Help us fight some evil and all."
Seemed like a good plan. Kind of sucked but hell, Hartley was so powerful, he really needed the training. "You're so cool, Hart."
"Well, we have skype and all that. Plus, we can use Barry as a carrier pigeon until he catches on." Hartley smiled, seriously considering it now. He ended up with a handful of fries and his head resting against Cisco's chest. "You'd call me back if you needed me, yeah?"
He didn't really doubt that. Cisco never hesitated with asking for help. "I need to learn where the limits to this power are. If there are any. I think I also need to learn to be less afraid of using it. I should have used it against Cold."
"I support you, dude. Go learn, go train, I'll wait right here for you and I'll have your back. I promise. If we get in a jam, I'll call you. Just, you know, take lots of pictures. And give them my card." Not that he had a card yet but he'd make a card and maybe they could all come for sewing help and that'd just be so awesome!
"Hey, there's never a pressure to use your powers. Either you want to or you don't. They're pretty intense, no one blames you. Mostly people blame me right now."
"I know, but... Yeah, they are intense. But if your plan hadn't worked, somebody else could be dead and I could have stopped that. That's why I want to learn. I know I'm not responsible for everything that I can't prevent, but I'd have the chance to prevent a lot. It just feels as if I ought to try."
Hartley smiled and kissed Cisco's cheek. "Make me a costume and gear and everyone will want your card. Which reminds me..."
Hartley sat up and pulled his flute out of the other bag, also eating a bit of lettuce while at it. He handed it to Cisco. "What do you think?"
"It's going to be okay. Go, train, you'll come back and it'll never happen again. No more fear. And for my part, I'll stop making deadly weapons for super villains." Cisco grinned as he pulled himself upright, taking the flute off Haetley so he could look at it, clearly impressed by the tech and taking a little while to study and play around.
"That is so cool! Dude, this is the best. You made this?" He reluctantly handed it back and then leaned over to make some quick notes. "I have so many ideas for holsters now. I so need to break out the sewing machine."
