Back when Axel was young, determined and would do literally anything for money. He wasn't so proud of those days, he was never going back to that but he guessed he could put more work in. Once they were outside and at least a few doors down, Axel came to a halt and pulled Hartley in close, just holding onto him for a moment. "God Hartley, I'm sorry, it'll be okay. I won't leave you. Even if it's probably the best idea, I know you like to think outside the box." He smiled faintly and then wrapped his arm around the other, wishing he knew what to do here. Part of him knew he should leave Hartley but he just plain didn't want to. "Can you walk all the way to James' or do you want a ride? I can't afford the bus but I can piggy back you over there."
