"Killing the people who work for you is just kind of dumb. I mean making a mistake needs punishment, sure, but if you kill your own then you don't instil loyalty, you make everyone on edge and it's kinda dumb cause you'll run out of help." It just seemed like a slightly stupid idea to shoot just about everyone. Leonard was already getting a rep, people were scared to work for him. Especially since the last crew all wound up dead.
