As long as James wasn't saying anything, he couldn't mess this up. At least that was the hope, wasn't it? Hartley deepened the kiss, eyes still closed, unable to really believe that this was happening. They were no longer hormonal teenagers and James hadn't shoved him away yet. What if when he ended this, he'd tell him some excuse again? It was that thought that had Hartley finally pull away, looking at James with a fearful expression.
